Celtic Dobunni gold plated Stater believed to be of tribal chief CORIO. c 50BC to AD 50 The abstract figure is of a three tailed horse. The wheel represents the chariot. The ear of corn on reverse represents fertility. This is the only known Stater found in Britain with only four spokes in the wheel.
